The training and certification programs offered by American Vital Institute™ (AVI™) are designed to align with the most current, evidence-based recommendations for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillation (AED), and related emergency care, including the 2025 guidelines established by the American Heart Association® (AHA®) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC), the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
Course completion and certification reflect successful completion of AVI's cognitive training curriculum and assessment requirements, as developed and administered by American Vital Institute™. Certification is issued solely by American Vital Institute™ and is not the same as certification issued directly by any other organization.
